NEW FUNDING 2010-2011
Already received this year for which we are extremely grateful are the following:
South Lanarkshire Council Weekend Diversionary Fund - £1145 towards Friday evening football.
South Lanarkshire Council School Holiday Fund - £1400 towards 6 week summer programme.
South Lanarkshire Council Problem Solving Group - £4600 towards 4 projects targeting anti-social behaviour.
Sense over Sectarianism have awarded a grant of £2200 to tackle sectarianism.
Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland have awarded a grant of £8000 towards the the costs of funding a part-time volunteer co-ordinator.
Integrated Children's Services have awarded £1500 from the Locality Challenge Fund to support our mountain biking initiative.
Funding
We are grateful to each and every one of our funders who ensure that the Trust can continue to meet the needs of the children and young people within our local communities. Our list of funders for 2009-2010 is:
BBC Children in Need All donations go directly to organisations that help children. The national public response has been outstandingly generous and each year the total raised increases. A generous grant of £70K towards salary costs for the full-time youth worker post for three years was received in September 2009. |

Church of Scotland – Parish Development FundThe Parish Development Fund was launched as part of the development of the Church of Scotland’s “Church Without Walls” strategy. Its focus is to encourage and support new projects and ideas.£20k was granted to the Machan Trust in December 2008 towards core youth work costs. |

Robertson TrustThe Robertson Trust was established in May 1961. Today the Trust controls the Edrington Group which now owns well-known brands of Scotch Whisky - The Famous Grouse, The Macallan and Highland Park.£20K paid over two years has been granted to the Machan Trust towards core operating costs. |

Gannochy TrustThe Gannochy Trust was founded in 1937 by Arthur Kinmond Bell, known as AK Bell, for charitable and public purposes as a direct result of his familiy's successful distilling business.A generous donation of £10K was given to the Trust towards core operating costs. |

South Lanarkshire CouncilThe Council supports many community organisations and is at the forefront of policy and strategy in community development. The council works in partnership with other statutory and voluntary bodies.They have supported our activities and provided £1500 from the School Holiday Provision fund and £2500 from the Larkhall Problem Solving Group. |

Local IncomeThis comprises income given by gift aid including tax recovered, local churches giving, local individuals giving monthly, fundraising and donations. Additionally Admedia provided over £5K worth of free advertising and St Machan’s Parish Church provided office accommodation, along with heating, lighting and photocopying, all free of charge. |
